The Mercer
Long before craftsmanship became a marketing term, it was a livelihood.
The name Mercer reaches back to the historic European textile trade, where a mercer was a merchant of fine cloth and quality textiles. It shares its roots with the same world of traditional craftsmanship that gave rise to the Webb name - an old English occupational surname derived from "Webbe", meaning "weaver".
The Mercer is our nod to that heritage: skilled hands, honest materials, and goods made to earn their keep.
Built entirely by hand from Horween Dublin leather, The Mercer combines substantial capacity with a clean, compact profile. Its natural grain and rich pull-up character mean no two pieces are exactly alike. The leather will also darken with use, developing a deep patina unique to the way you carry it.
A heavy-duty spring money clip keeps your cash firmly secured while providing quick access when you need it. With room for 10+ cards and 10+ bills, The Mercer carries considerably more than its footprint suggests without unnecessary bulk. Its compact, streamlined design makes it equally at home as a front or back pocket carry.
Every piece is hand saddle stitched with Ritza Tiger Thread for exceptional strength and longevity. The edges are shaped and hand burnished before being finished with all-natural beeswax, creating a smooth, durable edge without hiding the character of the leather beneath paint or synthetic coatings.
